Pressing Toward the Mark, Inc. - Transitional Housing
Changing Our Community One Life at a Time!
Dear Friends:
God is doing an amazing work in my life at this time! I have decided to branch off from my previous partnership and open my own shelter called Pressing Toward the Mark, Inc. The incorporation papers for the name have been completed and we are in the process of securing a building to house women that are homeless, victims of domestic abuse and exiting the criminal justice system.

This is a vision that I have taken on to help provide independent living skills, training and housing services to adult women. But I realize that this task is too great for me to accomplish alone. That’s why I am writing you today.
There is an urgent need for our help! You see, more than 2,800 women were homeless in Minnesota in 2009 alone. With your assistance, we can move forward in getting a building, securing furniture and stocking the facility with basic accommodations. It is my goal to provide homeless women Christian residence by the start of the New Year.
Our faith-based organization will also help women through study of the Word to apply basic principals to their everyday lives. They have to have God if they want to succeed.

Please consider making a tax-deductible contribution today of any amount to assist us with this effort payable to Pressing Toward the Mark, Inc. Or you can drop off items for the home at 7540 Dupont Avenue North, Brooklyn Park 55444.

Please click on the Adopt-a-Home link on our site or that of the project's sponsor Minneapolis gospel artist Tonia Hughes at to obtain a list of needed items. Call (612) 695-5612 for more information. It is because of the generosity of our circle of friends that we are able to help those who are in need. I am confident that together we can make a difference and change lives! Thank you for your support.Thank you for your gift.
